Bob, you give me an opportunity even I cannot resist: In the Sources &
Services Section of Post-Factory #4, section 3, "Chemicals &
Chemistry," the last line of the Photographers' Formulary entry is "Ships
OS," meaning "ships overseas."
Actually, I suspect that more companies ship overseas now than last winter
when we did the survey. At that point, maybe half said they shipped
overseas... a few said only with a gun at their head, and some smaller
and/or mostly local companies said they didn't. But as a rule of thumb I'd
guess that a company of that type with a web site almost certainly would.
Artcraft, which also ships overseas, will generally mix up a formula to
order. I imagine that in small orders that becomes more costly -- but
those "kits" or premixed formulas usually aren't cheap.
But on the topic of pre-mixed formulas, I was very interested in Dave S's
one-solution version of his low-contrast lith developer. I'm wondering if
anyone (besides me) would buy that ready-mixed if it were available ?? (I
got lazy in my old age -- and not even as old as Bob's *old friend* !!)
Happy labor day...
Judy
