What do you mean by murkey? Is it cloudy or sort of white? If so,
it may have been contaminated with chlorid and may not be any good.
Or does it have particles in it? If so, go ahead and filter it. If
you get a clear solution it may be OK. Test by putting a few drops on white
paper. Let it dry and expose it to bright light. If it darkens
it is likly to be OK.
