It is normal for these large crystals to eventually form in a used
developer.  Crystals may also form if the temperature is lowered enough.

The only problem they might cause is scratching the print.  A couple
ways to get rid of them are:
strain the solution (use plastic strainer)
decant the solution (in bottle or tray)

If the solution is really old (that means has processed many prints),
consider replacing it.  A really old solution may cause fogging of a
print.
