Gord,
The standard drivers have color/contrast controls built in, but have a mind
of their own as well. For instance the Epson driver outputs to the printer
cmyk, but only takes in RGB, if you send it cmyk it will first convert it to
rgb, them input it to it's algorithm that again converts it back to cmyk
again, you have no control over how these conversions happen.
I'm a PC person but I believe the Macs are the same.
