The following formula should get you close to the purple/black of toned
salted paper and albumen prints. If the purple tone is too strong for you
cut back by 1/2 or more on the blue, magenta and umber.
For every 1000ml of coating solution add the following pigments,
40g of liquid Sumi ink
1g Process Blue
5g Process Magenta
5g Pure Pigment Umber
The Sumi ink is the green bottle stuff from Daniel Smith, the pigments are
Createx pure pigments.
