This is ridiculous. With all the printing shops going digital, you can get a
Nu-Arc 26-1K or equivalent for dirt cheap. They show up regularly on ebay,
and go between $300 and $700. And we're talking serious pro equipment. Not
something made of plywood and light fixtures out of the garage.
Now... I went years ago in a hardware stor, bought an industrial ceiling
fixture designed to hold fluorescent tube, ordered some BL tubes, and I'm
still using it for all my pl/pd prints. It stands on 4 empty slides boxes,
the tubes are 3 inches from the contact frame that I slide under. Works just
fine.
