The lilac color is indicative of a basic environment affecting the Prussian
blue of the cyanotype. It could be your paper (*don't* use an acid-free or
buffered paper with cyanotypes), contamination from a basic solution in the
washing tray (e.g., paper developer) or most likely, an alkaline water
supply. Try adding a bit of stop bath (aka dilute 1- 2% acetic acid), white
vinegar (4% acetic acid) , or weak 2 % citric acid solution to the water in
order to acidify it and stabilize the blue color.

Too bad the lilac color is fugitive. I kinda like it better than the blue
for some images.
