I changed my email address from the hubcap.clemson.edu address to
just clemson.edu but apparently hubcap was not the culprit as I still
do not appear to be getting your messages? The response below was
forwarded to me by Sam Wang. This matter has me baffled as Sam and I
have the same Clemson address.
In any event, I am curious as to what print drum (or drums) you were
using when you encountered the pattern of streaks that corresponded
to the interior structure of the print drum? In fact, if you can
recall the exact procedures you used that lead to the streaks I would
be very interested in knowing it.
As for the nature of the interior wall I have had no problem at all
with the smooth-walled home-made tubes of ABS plastic that I use for
processing 4X5 and 5X7 film. Like you I wet-load the tubes and always
remove the film from the tubes and place them in a tray for fixing.
