For List members in the Bay area, a visit to Photo San Francisco ( at Fort
Mason, through Sunday July 29) would be a worthwhile experience.
About 75 to 80 dealers, publishers, booksellers, etc.
Alternative processes (contemporary and older work) seem well represented
throughout the event. There seems to be a trend/coincidence of just about
every exhibitor having a cyanotype, albumen, Van Dyke, tintype, etc. by
anonymous 19th or early twentieth century artists. Some are quite nice (
wish I had some extra dough!).
My images ( in platinum and in gold) are represented at the event by Wessel
+ O'Connor. They also have cyanotypes by John Dugdale at their booth.
The web address for the event is www.photosanfrancisco.net
Best,
Tom Hawkins
