Perhaps my point was missed, understandably, since I'm not sure I was
quite awake when I wrote my earlier and it may have been confusing. The
point was that the bi's and meta's are interchangeable for normal
clearing of gum prints, but when someone gets a really heavy green stain
that the bi's and meta's won't clear, then sulfuric acid is necessary. I
speak not from experience, since I never see these stains myself, but am
only passing on what others have told me.
