Another system to consider is to align and tape negatives using a light
table just as with Dave's. Then tape to paper; then cut two edges
perpendicular (for larger boarders, additional material can be added to
the negatives as suggested by Dave). In the contact printing frame fix
four small spacers along each of two perpendicular sides (two per side,
near ends of each side, but less distance then the paper and film
dimensions). The spacers will be used to align the two cut edges of the
paper and negatives.
Be sure to place the negative and paper into the printing frame so that
the cut edges contact all four spacers. This system should align as
well as the hole punch with the same errors as mentioned by Dave.
