I think it used to be a pretty common practice with large format cameras 
to convert them to enlargers, normally using a cold cathode light source.
When I started in photography I used my 50mm lens from a Zenith which 
fitted the enlarger I had then, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for 
anything.
I was told that the heat from a tungsten enlarger bulb could damage lenses 
by diffusing volatile materials in them, but I don't know if this is true. 
As soon as I could afford it I bought a good enlarging lens, which was 
sharper and more convenient to use.
