It's unlikely you really need such a huge tripod, even for 8x10, and
would be the best item to replace immediately. Carl's recommendation
of the Ries's is good, but I prefer my Berlebach (had a Ries, too
heavy and bulky for me). I'm not 100% sure the Berlebach would be good
for a real heavy 8x10, say more than 12 or 13 pounds, but it worked
fine for a heavy Wisner 5x7 TF, 11 pounds for just the camera.
