I made contact prints from negatives made with a Lubitel, which is
sort of a Russian Holga. It worked fine. Don't overdevelop too much.
I found out that the scale of cyanotype is not as long as they say.
I develop Tri X about eight minutes in D-76. I shoot it at 400. Your
mileage may vary.
Special brushes aren't necessary. I use a coating rod, but I think
Judy uses a foam brush. Just rinse it thoroughly between coats. I
also coat twice. I coat, let it dry for an hour in a dark place, and
then coat again, let dry, and print. This time of year in Houston
cyanotype takes about seven minutes of full sun exposure in the
middle of the day.
