   I would suggest waxing with a "Carnuba-type" paste wax....this used to
be an important method of archival protection of the surface of a print
(right Sam Wang?) You just gently rub in the thin application of the wax
onto the surface with a fingertip until the film disappears and you have a
beautifully invisible, archival shield.....
