David,

Stauffer test strips will work fine for testing POP paper. They're
economical and easily available from Tri-Ess Chemical. The difference
from Kodak test strips is that Stauffer is less expensive.

They have 21 steps at a .15 density unit interval which is more total
range than even self-masking POP materials can record.
