I haven't ask that question. I currently run the indelible ink set from
ASC in Georgia or South Carolina at home in my 7000 although I do change
out their black with a Media Street black. I still use the indelible
black for quadtone and tritone printing that I started for one customer.
The Ink jets in the 7600 may only be configured to use a specific
cartridge with a chip. I'll send in a question to the Ilford rep and
let you know.

Eric-
Is it possible to switch between dye and pigment carts in the 7 cart
("chrome") configured 7600? Any info on this?
Thanks,
John

Ilford is selling these with a RIP al for around $5800 or so. An Ilford
rep recently made a presentation to us. Not sure but perhaps the INKS
are an Ilford ( read that as Ciba) good. The extra ink in the 7600 is
an additional black at 50%.

Greetings all-
Just wanted to make sure that everyone in the Austin TX area is aware
that
an Epson rep will be a Precision Camera on Lamar today demonstrating the
new
7600/9600 printers. There will also be a "closed session" this evening,
beginning at 6:30. These are the large format (24" and 42") 6 and 7
cart
versions of the 2200, which can be configured for dye or pigment inks.
At
around $3,000 street value (for the 7600) this printer holds a lot of
promise.
We'll see.
Of course, you couldn't buy one even if you wanted to-local suppliers
currently have 300 on backorder!
Hope to see you there!

Can you use third party inks with this printer?
