DEAR RANDALL (& OTHERS WHO RESPONDED)
Thanks for the info! I read the recommendations in your book which, of
course, I own!
Yes, Arrow Root used to be a VERY big crop here in Barbados. Is it
essential that I size with arrow root first?
I am actually going to have some paper hand made here in Barbados using
locally growing natural fibers (like sea island cotton and/or banana leaf)
and mix my albumen emulsion with...that's right...local eggs. No problem
with Sea Salt either! ;-))
Needless to say the images will be of Barbados and Bajans. The project
will be titled, "Made In Barbados". The only things NOT made here will be
the sliver nitrate and the camera original negatives. As our geology is
based upon a combination of massive coral reef and glacial deposit, we
aren't big on mineral resources and I just don't have the patience for
coating my own film (yet).
        CHEERS!
                BOB
