But why would anyone want to place the printing frame at a fraction
of an inch from the tubes? Or at any clearance between 1-2", when for
all practical purposes there is little if any difference in printing
speed between clearance of 1" and 4", or even 6" for that matter.
This assuming tube spacing of 2".

Apparently some of the hard core inverse square rule types have
difficulty in understanding the dichotomy of the above rationale, but
from experience and testing I know that it is so.
