FWIW, in my palladium prints I always use a first clearing
bath of disodium
EDTA, which is acidic, and seems to prevent the metal
migration into clear
areas of the print that can occur with palladium. Artcraft
is a good source
for this chemical. I use about 1-1/2 tbsp per liter of
water. I stole this
tip from Mike Ware's homepage, and it has solved a vexing
problem for me.
Might be worth a shot.
