FWIW,
I would like to point to an alternative way of using paper negatives without
the peeling and oiling that seems so prevalent.
A local photographer here in the Atlanta area, Richard Gaskins, uses a camera
obscura to make exposures on to black and white or color paper and then uses
the negative image on paper and contact prints them onto the same type of
paper.
I think using in camera negatives could be used with an enlarger.
