I don't have an X-Rite (I use an ancient rheostat operated Weston) but
did use one in a quality lab and there were "drop-in" apertures. You should
be able to make a mask (metal or at least heavy Aluminum foil) to "fit" your
smaller step wedge and simply re-zero to that standard. As long as the
aperture is fixed your readings should be valid. Good luck.
