And let me say what Sandy is perhaps too modest to say -- the book is
beautiful and everyone should buy it -- really. Of course I know very
little about gravure, so any mistakes would get by me, but somehow, given
the expert provenance, I trust. What struck me ESPECIALLY on a
flip-through (I haven't read yet) was that, unlike the usual how-to, which
shows the instructional photos in black & white, with the artwork, or at
least much of it, in color... this book shows a number of the
instructional photos in color & the art, or much of it, in monochrome.

Seeing the demo's in color is very seductive and "instructional." What's
being done becomes surprisingly clear. It could start a trend.

The feel of the book is also appealing -- large enough to be complete, but
comfortable in the hand.

congratulations to all,

Judy
