In Photoshop 7 and maybe earlier versions, go to the levels command and then
hold down the Option Key (on a Mac) while you slide the left (dark) slider or
the right (white) slider back and forth. The image should turn black or
white and show you when you are starting to affect the data and where...it's
a great way to set the end points so that you actually see what you are going
to do to the data... that Adobe guy, doesn't he think of everything? hehehehe
