Kingslake, Rudolf: February 25, 2003. Predeceased by his
wife, Hilda on February 14, 2003. He is survived by his
brother, Geoffrey in England; sister, Joy in New Zealand;
daughter-in-law, Joan Kingslake in PA; and other
generational relatives including those in Great Britain,
Australia, New Zealand and Germany.
Dr. Kingslake was an internationally known expert on optical
design, a former professor of optics in the Institute of
Optics at the University of Rochester and former head of
lens design at Eastman Kodak. He has been honored for his
work by many scientific and technical societies.
Services will be private. Contributions in his memory may be
directed to the Institute of Optics at the U of R, Wilmot
123, River Campus, Box 270186, Roch. 14627 or to the George
Eastman House, 900 East Avenue, Roch., 14607. To light a
