Some of the iron oxide pigments are rather coarse. If you keep gum/pigment
solutions premixed and ready to use, the larger particles will quickly
settle out, forming a layer at the bottom of the bottle. I use a stiff
brush to stir up the solution immediately prior to use.

Also, another dumb question...if I may be so bold.... can Gum be used with
coarse (as in size of particals) pigments? Or do they sorta drop out of
suspension if they as big as marbles?
