I believe lemon juice was used to help bleach linens in the sun. Perhaps a
dilute solution could be used to bleach the rag paper in the sun, then soaked
out in distilled water. Yes, No??? May be worth a try on a test piece. I
think, if I were to try it myself, I would not allow the paper to dry out
during the bleaching process.
