I love being on this list! So much experience!
Thank you to everyone for the numerous, helpful suggestions and
advice.

I have printed cyano on fabric, unbleached white muslin with great
results.
I've not experienced any bleeding or hard to see images like Jane.

When coating I've used foam brushes and covered my work surface with
plastic. I hang the fabric on a line with cloths pins in total darkness,
in front of an electric fan to dry.

I'm wondering if I coat the fabric with paper towels as blotters
underneath, could I then squeeze the chemistry out of the saturated
paper towels and apply it to more fabric or would it work for me to just
lay a new piece of fabric over the saturated paper towels and use a
roller to saturate the fabric with emulsion from the paper towels...

Judy,

I stand on my old quote. I think I misinterpreted the question. I
thought
the question was why not print on glass, i.e. why print on cloth. Silly
me.
Agai, the paper towels ae necessary and I still like "Bounty" even
though I
have no stock in the company. ;-)

I noticed that someone else uses paper towels. Also, unless it was
previously mentioned, anyway its
worth repeating, only natural fibers (like cotton, silk) will work.
Rayon,
nylon, Dacron i.e. all the polymers just don't absorb the sensitizer.

Even though we have been discussing VDB, note that cyanotype will also
work
as well. I once put cyano on a piece of light green cotton and got a
very
nice blue and green image. The possibilities are, well, endless.
