The main thing, whatever the cause for the difference in the
separations, is that it's pretty clear to me that the first CMYK
separations I got were wrong. Since when I decided to print the
separations bigger, I got different separations even though the settings
were identical, and since I could toggle back and forth between bad
separations and good separations by changing the size of the image I
sent to CMYK, it seemed logical to assume that it must be related to
image size or resolution somehow. I'll take you guys' word that it
couldn't be that, but I'd sure like to know what it is, then. But
regardless of the reason for the wrong separations, my POINT was that I
had separations that were wrong, but I didn't know they were wrong, but
by chance I discovered my mistake and now I have better separations to
print from. That's all,
