As I have said -- POP toned with an ALKALI in the gold solution (borax,
sodium carbonate, etc.) rather than the thiocyanate (the formula
Chicago Albumen Works gives), makes a warm brown with pinkish highlights.
that many consider sublime. (And so do I.)
