I don't know that the speckling was casued by loss of "setting
properties," certainly not the speckling seen on a print that was
developed in scalding water -- that gelatin had already set. However,
for what it's worth, if Candace (or anyone) has unused sized paper from a
batch that speckled, no need to waste the paper. Adding another OK coat
of gelatin can save it, or did for students when their print speckled.
