Your point is very well made.

As you say, the original poster may return and clarify his intention,
but my initial reaction to it from the outset was that it was most
likely disguised advertising SPAM. I see this kind of thing all the
time on the web.

And regardless, the message was entirely off-topic for this list,
which is dedicated to discussions of alternative photography.
