Hi:

I was looking for information on glutaraldehyde and Formaldehyde and came
across a very useful health related information on glutaraldehyde

See http://www.dow.com/biocides/glut/safety.htm

I have a severe allergy to formaldehyde and did not want to consider using
glutaraldehyde until I could confirm whether glutaraldehyde produces the
same contact allergic reaction that formaldehyde does.

glutaraldehyde apparently does not elicit an allergic reaction from people
sensitive to formaldehyde.

I did come across a reference that stated glutaraldehyde caused asthma in
one particular case

see http://www.hse.gov.uk/asthma/glutaraldahyde.htm

It seems that appropriate ventilation should be used. What do people use
for ventialation?

Gord
