Just to avoid similar misunderstanding in future, perhaps I should
stipulate that usually when I insert a comment within quoted text, my
comment is placed directly below the text that it is intended to
comment on. If my comment above were intended to refer to Loris's
test, I would have left his description of the test in the quoted
material and inserted the comment directly below that. But since I
inserted it directly below the listing of the pigment, I would have
thought it self-evident that the comment was intended to refer to the
pigment. I think I assumed too much, and I apologize for the
misunderstanding.
