Thatīs what it could be. The bands are as broad as the advance of the foil and are a bit lighter on one side than the other. A problem hard to cure. The best would be a driver that advances the foil only very little to make the banding finer and prepare the ink receiving layer better. But print times would be much longer so thatīs not what the manufacturers are heading for. Maybe there ar less problems if the foil is dampened. Try what happens if you print on a foil that hung in the bathroom while you took a shower. For a fast test if this makes sense simply put a foil on a pot with steaming water and then immediately print on it. If the banding is different where the steam has swollen the ink receiving layer ...
