It occurs to me belatedly (I've been tired lately so I don't always
think of the obvious solution right away) that a better, easier way to
do this would have been to simply put a light tone over the whole print,
like a glaze in painting, without bothering with a negative at all for
the last printing. Like I say, many paths to the same end.
