I'm just snowed under after breaking a rib and having to be immobile for
a few days.......now my teaching load is intolerable so I will catch up
with the mails when I can.....:)

I believe the idea of show and tell is a great one rather than these
discussions which keep on going and going and going longer than that
battery bunny.

I've never experienced the yellow dichromate stain others talk about and
I find certain pigments such as pthalocyanine blue always impart some
amount of pigment stain regardless of paper, concentration, or
treatment. That seems to run counter to many verbal reports. Rives BFK
is prone to speckling IME and I rarely use it. I suspect I'll still see
what I consider staining on posted examples although others may not call
it the same thing. If I do, I'll chime in.

But the real reason I haven't participated of late revolves around a
medical trauma which affected my verbal function. I simply can't keep
the long discussions straight especially when one person is talking
about one thing with a certain term and another is using the same term
differently. I am a very visual person as I'm sure most on this list
are. Posting picture examples with data on processing would go along
way in interesting me, and helping me (and I'm sure others) follow what
is being discussed. As I have related to the list in the past regarding
gum printing, "a picture is worth a thousand words", or perhaps more in
this case.

Kudos to Darryl for the offer of his website as a place to show the
examples. I'll be watching and adding my $0.02 when I have something
worthwile to contribute.
