There's a bleach that removes ONLY the silver halide -- that is, the part
that's not yet developed to metallic silver, which is why you have to fix
in the 1st place. If memory serves (which it may not) that's a potassium
ferricyanide with potassium bromide and --- hydrochloric acid? I have it
somewhere, but LIAM will know... LIAM! Calling LIAM !
In any event, I did a lot of toning where that was bleached out & then the
part that was exposed and toned and "printed out" didn't need fixer... (As
I recall, there's a once-over lightly in P-F #2). When I added later
toners sometimes it changed later, but you could be dead first.
The tactile surface of the printed-out paper is excellent.
