Sandy -
I respectfully disagree. I really do not think that many people want to
purchase a book on a CD that they would then need to print out. Oftentimes,
trying to follow something on screen in PDF is a PITA, which is why that format
is not useful except for printing out. How many of us have bought books
(everyone raises their hand) and how many have bought books on CD (I doubt many
hands - and the hands down probably even include people with software
documentation that came on a CD)?
OTOH, books can now be created at a reasonable price, without the "you must
make 1,000" restrictions of the past. I have heard good things about
CafePress.com (http://www.cafepress.com/cp/info/sell/books.aspx) where you can
create a book at a price not formerly possible (I "think" there is another
comparable service, but do not remember the name). The great thing about this
is that if Judy did put these together and sell them as a book, and got 47
orders, she could have 47 books made at the same cost per book as 10 or 1,000
books.
If this was bound in a Wire-O format and had an index then I would probably
seriously consider purchase, despite being a subscriber from the beginning I
already have the issues (I would see if I could get Judy to sign it <g>).
Cheers -
