PS my hubby taught college in MN for 20 yr and got paid royally well, 5
years ago a third more than I get here now. PLUS he had steps and lanes
acrrue each year he taught, and more $$ for further education. But I think
they are unionized there? Anyway, MN is very good to teachers of any sort,
it seemed.

For what it's worth:

The going rate for teaching artists in Minnesota (set by the state arts
board) is $65/hour with 4 hours of teaching time considered a full day.
The state also assumes you would need a minimum of 4 hours of planning
for each 20 hours of teaching - also at $65/hour.
