Rayul,
1. Dye based inks are fugitive.
2. Water based polyurethane works for adding gloss to the prints. I use
Hydrocote Polyshield wood finish, applying it with a #30 Meyer Rod. Dmax
increase is around log 0.3 - 0.4 (w/ satin finish, w/ gloss finish the
increase will be even bigger I presume).
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Loris.

Subject: Epson inks and Pigment over Satista
I have been experimenting with making Pigment over Satista prints and
have succeeded in getting them to work.
1. Are dye-based inks suitable for this procedure or are they fugitive?
2. Can water-based polyurethane or Gamblin wax be used to impart a
gloss to prints?
Thanks for any suggestions/information.
Rajul
