MessageI tried sodium hypochlorite diluted 1:10 (laundry bleach) and it blew out my highlights and blackened my shadows. Ugh! Simpler to start again I think. Thanks.

Actually alkali bleaches the Cyanotype very effectively but as soon as the print is returned to acidic conditions it regains its color and density. Since the effect isn't permanent I wouldn't call it reducer.

I know no Cyanotype reducer (doesn't mean it doesn't exist) but; few cycles of alkali bleach (weak ammonia, sodium carbonate...) then acid baths (weak citric, acetic, hydrochloric, nitric ...) will eventually weaken the image...

Loris.
