Thanks for the helpful replies about my tintype woes. And, wow, Dianne, I'm
impressed by your drying set-up (my own is beyond primitive by comparison).

One other question I had is about the color I'm (not) getting. The modern
tintypes I've seen recently in books all have a very warm yellow color
(appealing to me). Mine are much, more more muted. Any ideas about why or how to get
the richer yellow color?
