Absolutely.

Some chemicals are particularly nasty. For example hydrofluoric acid. It is recommended that if you are using that particular acid, you inform your local paramedics so they know how to handle the acid. Especially since it can cause burns that go deep and to the bone. Sores that never properly heal unless there is proper medical intervention.

Always read the MSDS.
