Dry chemical

Hi,

I want to prepare some Vandyke emultion and I'd like to know if it's alright
to measure the dry chemicals in whatever light or if I should use somekind
of safe light right away (I wouldn't want to spoil everything from the
start)? I have a small 7 watt bulb in my bathroom (my darkroom), is that
safe enough?
