Hi everyone,

This is my first post to the alt-process list. I've learned a lot just
from reading the posts over the past few weeks.

I've been making VDB prints at home using digital negs printed on my
Epson C86 printer (with MIS inks). I've had OK success so far using
generic overhead inkjet transparencies from Staples, but these "take
the ink" in a strange way, with anything less than 50% gray "not
showing up". I can create a custom curve to handle this, but would
like to see if a different material handles it better.

I know Pictorico is the standard film people use for inkjet negatives,
but it doesn't seem to be available locally (Toronto) or by mail-order
within Canada and I'd rather not go to the expense of having it
shipped from the USA.

Has anyone tried the Premier Imaging Products Universal Clear Film?
Vistek, a major Canadian photo supplies store, sells it:

The price is attractive and I wonder if anyone has used it for
alt-process digital negs.

Many thanks in advance!

Jordan
