It was not so much what Mike said but what Herschel himself said in his paper
to the Royal Society over 160 years ago. You will remember that I mentioned
the cyanotype rex print made at the Oxford conference with a three minute
exposure under grey skies which showed that exposures for cyanotype rex were short,
and confirmed Michael Maunder work on Herschel's findings that UV was not
needed to print a cyanotype (this is a simplification).

Mike's paper at the Object Glasss of Science conference will be published
soon in the PhotoHistorian.
We will combine the Object Glass of Science conference with APIS 2006 in
Oxford in September; we would welcome proposals for papers.

Mike's articles on his research appeared in AG 41 and earlier issues.

The proceedings of APIS 2004 are avialable as a magazine or as a CD.
