Of course I've observed it, I said so. But we seem to be looking at
this from very different world views. To me, it doesn't make sense
to say categorically that "glyoxal yellows" or "the yellow can't be
rinsed out" if there are as many observations that contradict that
statement as observations that support it. I guess I think about
these things in terms of hypothesis testing. To you, it seems any
observation of yellowing is all it takes to say that glyoxal
yellows. I can see the logic of the reasoning, but it's a different
kind of reasoning than the scientific, statistical kind of thinking
that I am used to.
