(hmmm...I always love posting on a friday night--esp in summer--no one is
writing....)

An update on the carbon vs. gum debate of a couple of months ago.

Sandy did so kindly sent me a carbon print, and his digital file to make my
own neg of the same print, and when I get over jet lag I will print it as I
promised and report to the list (they say 1 day per hour time change; I have
another six days therefore). I am gearing up for a massive gum printing
month here. But I am shaking in my boots after seeing Sandy's carbon.

My website is alllllmmmmmmost done--maybe tomorrow. Now, although I do have
my two books on there that are for sale (it'll be a cold day in hell before
I'd give those puppies away at what they cost me in time and money and butt
flab) I also have a teaching section with some PDFs for downloading that
are freeeeeee!!!! Run free, little Bob--oh yeah, that was in a movie I once
saw.

Anyway, looking forward to some HEALTHY disagreement on something other than
"to charge or to charge not, that is the question...."

PS one well known woman told me that she steadily sells her book and makes a
profit of about $1000 every year. I don't think anyone is laughing all the
way to the bank by writing unless you're John Grisham or that Harry Potter
dudette. The real issue is if the writing you purchased is worth the price,
methinks. I've bit on some doozies in my lifetime--like that $135 Kosar book
on abebooks.com that's now $35.
