Given that you do not read what is put in front of you and call in aid the
kind of childish attacks that give the list a bad name, you should be careful
about ascribing arrogance to others.

There are others here who appear to make a point of saying that they do not
read the posts of others but are quite ready to pontificate on points those
others have raised., who might also take a moment to see themselves as others see
them.

I would agree with Katherine that parochial political spats could kill the
list, but a short survey yesterday among those who have already unsubscribed
from this list, showed that endless discusssion of the minutiae of pointless
tests, are just as much a reason for not hanging around. Why not discuss the
detail off list, if there are those who are interested, and then come back to the
list with any worthwhile results ?
